INSTALLING NEW NASCAR HEAT WINDOWS
The installing of these windows are extremely easy and they can be done in about 5 minutes. Also Consider your Read me for installation, I figure if you used restools, then you ought to know what I am going to try explain here now.
1) Backup your old files or the files that will be replaced. I would backup the Race.res in your Run folders.
2) Get restools (MkTex) (MkRes) from below and or download the Windows GUI version of restools also below for a non-DOS extract of the race.res and re-compile back to race.res after replacing the 2 files I have for you.
3) The process: Extract Race.res into a blank folder and then place my 2 files Downloaded from here, inside with the un-compiled files you have now. These 2 files are replacements for the 2 old windows files, backup the old ones before overwriting them.
4) Ok, your almost done, Once the files are placed in, recompile, or in other words MkRes the Race.res file back to its original compilation name. Be sure you don't leave the old Race.res in the files when re-making the new Race.res or your finished file will be twice the original size.
5) Now you have a new Race.res file, place it into the Nascar Heat RUN folder and then go play, Your done. If you screwed up and your new glass isn't in or something worse...then you better read this stuff again carefully. Seems many people come here and think looking at the pictures tells the whole story. Well, I can't be everyone's teacher". If you can't understand the directions I have here then I wouldn't even attempt this easy stuff. OK, that's all I can do, you think you can do it now? Enjoy the new Nascar Heat car windows, Driver's Net and Naca Vents. |
